a Quiet night in the city… As it sits calmed and cleared.. but for how long.
If you haven’t read in the local news (or your international weather channels) we have a Tropical storm heading our way in the near future. KATIA, packing winds up to 65 mph and potentially climbing; I think we need to get a bit prepared for what could be something significant. Just about all projected paths are pointing right for our geographical location…
A few quick hurricane Pre prep tips off top …
- Flashlight
- Batteries
- Candles
- Lighter or matches
- Sterno(heat cans)
- Blanket
- Identify safe room in house or seek alternate shelter ahead of time.
- Non-Perishable items(canned goods)
- Water/ Or water supply source
- Bucket & Towels
- A.M. /F.M. radio(optional)-need batteries)
- Gasoline/ Fuel
- Rope
- Boards & Nails.
…next week looks to be an estimated arrival… Are we ready for something severe? or will we be spared?
